How to connect? What monitors will work?
An excellent way to get HD-SDI functionality at low cost is to use an HD-SDI to HDMI/DVI converter such as the Blackmagic HDLink or AJA HDP.
To connect a monitor over HDMI, you have to set the monitor out (in the RED menu) to HDMI You can connect every Monitor with HDMI-In (or with an adapter to DVI, every DVI Monitor).I can't guarantee, I've tested with the Benq FP241 WZ, worked well. But it doesn't show all the range of luminosity, the whites were clipped. So be careful that you don't underexpose to get all the whites on the monitor. Can't say, if this has to do with the output of the RED or the input of the monitor. (Not tested any other monitor yet)
Note that the 23" Apple Cinema display does not work for using the HDMI out of the Red, even with an HDMI to DVI adaptor.
