[edit] What Kinds of Lenses can be used with RED One
You can use PL-mount camera lenses (such as Zeiss primes), both for 35mm and 16mm. With a non-standard mount, you can also use Nikon or Canon stills lenses.
Many factors affect how a lens will perform on a digital camera. It is not safe to assume that a lens that works well on film will work well on digital (thread). The design of a digital sensor is different, because each photosite is seperate and they are behind an IR/LP filter and tiny Red, Green and Blue color filters. The sensor can be strongly affected by the angle that light is hitting it.
