Black Sun Removal

On some builds of the Red One, sensor protection can cause very bright objects such as the sun to render as pink. Often it is easy to correct this by selecting for the pink hue rendered by the sensor, softening the selection and overexposing the selected pixels. For example the parameters below in FCP color corrector filter, will remove the problem:

In many cases however that pink hue will be present in the rest of the image. In which case its best to paint over it using a program such as Shake or After Effects.
